Is an application program interface that takes advantage of the existing HTTP protocols. The standard CRUD is translated into HTTP verbs which we will discuss in the next video. In Spring there are two common ways we create a REST API and that is by either using annotation or via Spring Data JPA which expose your repository classes as REST API endpoints.
As for the advantages of using REST, there are already tons of articles available on Google.
